Lizenzero offers a digital service to help businesses comply with packaging regulations across countries. The free Obligation Check takes minutes, while full compliance may take weeks. Lizenzero handles registration, Authorized Representative services, and reporting, with all documents accessible via a dashboard. Customers receive email notifications about obligations and can review contracts before purchase. Additional country bookings and obligation rechecks are under development. Retrospective registrations are available in some countries.
How long does it take to become compliant?
Our free Obligation Check https://app.lizenzero.com/de/select-countries only takes a few minutes. Depending on the country and the authority involved, the full compliance process can take a few weeks. Once you provide the required documents, we handle the entire process on your behalf and keep you updated as soon as your EPR numbers are ready.
Is Lizenzero an official authority?
No. Lizenzero is not a public authority. Lizenzero is a digital service that helps businesses understand and manage packaging compliance more easily.
Does completing the Obligation Check mean I am entering into a contract?
No. By completing our free Obligation Check, you are not entering into a contract with us. We only ask for your email address so we can send you your results. Once you receive them, you can see where you may need to take action to comply with EPR regulations and what costs are involved. You can then decide whether you would like to complete the purchase.
Does Lizenzero offer an Authorized Representative (AR) service?
Yes. We offer Authorized Representative services in all markets available on our platform. If an Authorized Representative is required for your compliance, it is automatically included in the service fee.
What is included in the service fee?
Our service fee includes all core compliance services for the selected country: registration, Authorized Representative services where required, and ongoing compliance and reporting support.
Do you issue EPR numbers for us?
Once you upload the required documents in your dashboard, we start the registration process and apply for the EPR number on your behalf. As soon as the registration is finalized, you will receive your EPR number through us. We will notify you once it is available. Not every country has a EPR Number, yet.
Can you send me the documents by email?
All documents are stored centrally in your dashboard. This makes it easy for you to find everything you need in one place.
Where can I find my contract?
You can find your contract under Contract Management in your dashboard. There you will see one general contract as well as one contract annex for each country you purchased through us.
Can I see the contract before I make the purchase?
Yes. In the shop journey, at the Review Your Order step before checkout, an example contract is generated for you. You can download it and review it before completing your purchase.
I am already a Lizenzero.de customer. What should I do now?
If your business only needs packaging compliance in Germany, please continue using Lizenzero Verpackungslizenzierung for now. We will migrate existing customers at a later stage. If you need compliance services for any other countries, please use Europe-wide compliance for packaging.
How does volume reporting work?
We will inform you in good time when you need to submit your volume reporting. Once it is due, you can go to your dashboard and select Volume Reporting. There, you will see all the countries you booked and where a volume report is required. For each country, you can download an Excel template, complete it, and upload it back to the portal. We take care of everything else for you.
Can I book additional countries later?
Currently, this is not yet possible. However, we are already developing this feature for you. If you are interested in adding additional countries in the meantime, please contact us.

Will I be informed by email about my to-dos?
Yes. We monitor your obligations and inform you in good time when action is required. If you have an upcoming deadline, we will notify you by email. You can also view your current to-dos at any time in your dashboard.
Can I book previous years retrospectively?
In some countries, this is possible. Please complete the Obligation Check. On the checkout page, you will be able to see in which countries retrospective registration is available.
Are Authorized Representative (AR) fees charged separately?
No. If an Authorized Representative is required, it is included in our service fee. You can see whether AR is included for your selected countries during the booking process.
